Best Tech Companies & Startups To Work For In 2021: Glassdoor Report

Just like every other year, Glassdoor has released its list of best companies to work for in 2021. But we will be focusing specifically on the tech companies and startups that made it to the list in 2021.

Glassdoor rankings are based on employee feedback from companies with more than 1,000 employees (for large businesses). The companies are evaluated on parameters like their CEO, career opportunities, compensation and benefits, work-life balance, and culture and values.

Overall, Bain & Co. claimed the 1st position, reclaiming the title from HubSpot. Unlike 2020, where 31 tech companies made it to the list, this year we have only 28 tech companies. The significant highlights of the rankings were gain by Apple (which went up 53 spots), Salesforce (up by 17), Facebook (12) and Google (5).

So if you are looking for a job in the tech industry, here are the best companies you can go for:

Top 10 Tech Companies To Work For In 2021

Glassdoor’s overall ranking for best companies includes both tech and non-tech companies. For the sake of relevance in this article, I have picked only the top 10 tech companies from the list and mentioned their overall rank and company ratings.

Top 10 Tech Startups To Work For In 2021

In the SMB category, Life.Church topped the list, and 14 tech companies were included in the list of 50. However, the numbers are down from 21 in 2020.

Please note that Asana (Rank 14) has not been added to this list because it’s a public company now. Meanwhile, Ping Identity has also been excluded from this list because it has nearly 1,000 employees and is now beyond the startup phase of operations.

Christian Sutherland-Wong, CEO of Glassdoor said in a statement, “Covid-19 is in the driver’s seat, and every employer has been impacted. This year’s winning employers have proven, according to employees, that even during extraordinary times, they’ll rise to the challenge to support their people.
