Gentoo-Based Sabayon 16.11 Is Out with Linux Kernel 4.8, Supports Banana Pi SBC

The Sabayon project has always brought us a modern, rolling, reliable and easy to use GNU/Linux distribution based on the Gentoo operating system, which is known for being notoriously difficult to install.

If you want to use Gentoo Linux on your desktop or laptop computer, you'll have to install Sabayon, which follows a rolling release model where you install once and enjoy up-to-date software forever, or until your PC breaks. However, like any other rolling release distro out there, Sabayon gets monthly ISO respins.

Sabayon 16.11 is now available for download today, October 29, bringing us an updated installation medium that contains all the software releases and core components pushed to the stable repositories of the distribution during the month of October 2016, including the Linux 4.8 kernel, KDE Plasma 5.8 and GNOME 3.22 desktop environments.
