First GNOME 3.24 Desktop Environment Snapshot Now Ready for Public Testing

Just a few minutes ago, GNOME developer Javier Jardón informed us about the availability of the GNOME 3.23.1 desktop environment, which is the first development snapshot towards GNOME 3.24, due for release on March 22, 2017.

With a three-day delay, the GNOME 3.23.1 milestone is finally out for early adopters of the GNOME 3.24 desktop, whose development cycle just started a few weeks ago. Again, GNOME 3.23.1 is the first development snapshot, so you shouldn't expect to see any major changes, as it looks to us like only a few components have been updated.

Among these, we can mention the Evolution email and groupware client, GNOME Nibbles game, Epiphany web browser, which brings a lot of exciting new features, GNOME Maps, GNOME Logs, and GNOME Calculator (also a major release). Overall, the changes are fairly small, ... (read more)
