Look What’s New In The 2021 Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus

As we know 2021 Tesla Model 3 refresh is already in the market. The new edition of the Tesla Model 3 received a number of noticeable upgrades. In our previous article, we have reported some of the major updates that Tesla introduced in the Model 3 refresh.

However, today, we’ll have a closer look at all these features and changes that Tesla brought in new Model 3.

Recently, a YouTube channel, Tesla Owners Online, uploaded a video of Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus. It gives a walkthrough of all the new updates Tesla introduced in the electric car.

So, let’s begin and show you guys all the differences that the YouTuber found.

2021 Tesla Model 3 Refresh: All Differences

1. Aero Wheel Cap

The new Model 3 Standard Range Plus comes with two sets of wheels: 18″ aero wheels and 19″ sport wheels. In the video, the electric car flaunts the set of aero wheels.

2. Black Trim

One of the most significant changes that can be easily spotted is the black trim. The door handles as well as the trim surrounding the window are black now. Earlier, chrome for used for the application.

3. Heat Pump

Another major component that Tesla added is the heat pump. It’s fitted right below the frunk (front trunk) as shown in the video. After Tesla Model Y, it’s the second electric car in Tesla’s portfolio to have a heat pump.

You can also say that the component might be partially responsible for the improvement in range of 2021 Tesla Model 3.

4. Powerlift Trunk Door

Tesla has finally added the power lift trunk gate in Model 3. The YouTuber gives a demonstration of how the tailgate opens as well as closes itself. The users can also adjust the height of the trunk gate where they want to stop it. They can do it by long pressing the button on the trunk at the position where they want to stop it.

5. Double Pane Window

Tesla also provided the double pane window in the Model 3 refresh. However, in the standard range plus variant, they are only on the front doors.

6. Matt Black Finish Parts Inside The Cabin

Unlike in the previous variants, the automaker has given a matt black finish for some of the interior parts. Power window buttons and center console cover are among some parts that received a matt finish.

7. New Center Console

Tesla has slightly modified the center console design. There is a sliding cover, a different location for the USB port, a wireless charger right above the center console, and much more.

8. New USB Drive For Sentry Mode

As we mentioned in one of our previous articles, Tesla provides a 64GB flash drive for recording videos through sentry mode.

There’s a separate USB port for this drive inside the glove box. Users can lock the glove box so that data of your surveillance system can stay safe.

Apart from this, there are few other updates, such as back auto-dimming side-view mirrors. The top back window gasket on the trunk now has holes for water drainage that YouTuber forgot to mention. However, one of his viewers commented and mentioned these updates.

These were some of the most prominent updates that YouTuber found in the brand new 2021 Tesla Model 3.

And not to mention, the improved electric range of the new Model 3. The standard plus variant now has an EPA range of 263 miles.
