Call Of Duty Mobile & Among Us Nominated For ‘Best Mobile Game 2020’

Recently, The Game Awards announced the 2020 nominees for several categories. Many popular titles, including The Last of Us Part 2, Genshin Impact, and Raji: An Ancient Epic, are nominated in their respective categories.

When it comes to the ‘Best Mobile Game’ category, Activision’s Call of Duty Mobile bags the nomination. Moreover, Innersloth’s breakout title ‘Among Us’ is also nominated in the same category.

Call of Duty Mobile won the ‘Best Mobile Game’ title in The Game Awards 2019. So, it’s no surprise that Activision’s mobile game reserved a spot in this year’s nominees list as well. However, what’s interesting is that the indie title ‘Among Us‘ is going toe to toe against COD Mobile for the award.

Moreover, Genshin Impact, Legends of Runeterra, and Pokemon Cafe Mix are also nominated against COD Mobile and Among Us.

For those who don’t know, miHoYo, the Chinese video game publisher, released Genshin Impact on September 28, 2020. The free-to-play action role-playing game is available on PS4, Windows, Switch, Android, and iOS. With millions of players worldwide, you could say that it is one of the most popular games of 2020.

On the other hand, Legends of Runeterra is a free-to-play digital collectible card game. Riot Games, the developer of Valorant and League of Legends, released the game in April 2019 for Windows, Android, and iOS.

Finally, Pokemon Cafe Mix is published by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company for Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. It is a free-to-play game puzzle game that came out in June 2020.

So, these are all the five ‘Best Mobile Game‘ nominees in The Game Awards 2020. Moreover, The Last of Us Part II, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Ghost Of Tsushima, Doom Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Hades are nominated for ‘Game of The Year.’
