Qt Creator 4.1 Brings Editor Improvements, Better CMake Support, and New Themes

A new stable version of the cross-platform and open-source Qt Creator IDE (Integrated Development Environment) software has been released recently for all supported platforms, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows.

Qt Creator 4.1 is a major milestone that incorporates lots of improvements in various areas of the application designed for Qt developers. As expected, it supports the latest Qt 5.6 series of the open-source GUI (Graphical User Interface) toolkit, and now uses LLVM/Clang 3.8.1 or later for its binary packages.

Release highlights include two new themes, namely Flat Light and Flat Dark, which you can see in action if you access the gallery at the end of the story or here on your right. These themes are here to complement the Flat theme introduced in Qt Creator 4.0, and can be enabled from the Environment -> Interface -> Theme settings.
