LibreELEC 8.0 Is Just Around the Corner, Now Based on Final Kodi 17 "Krypton"

The LibreELEC development team is announcing the availability of the second Beta release of the upcoming LibreELEC 8.0 "Krypton" open-source Linux-based operating system for embedded devices.

LibreELEC 8.0 has been in the works for quite some time now, tracking the development of the Kodi 17 "Krypton" open-source media center, which hit the streets in its final, production-ready state on the first day of February 2017, and it's time for it to be promoted to the stable channel.

A second Beta build (version 7.95.2) has been seeded to public testers this weekend, based on the final Kodi 17 release, and it's a small update that fixes an issue with MP3 and TagLib streams, addresses various media_build problems with certain IR (Infrared) drivers, and improves support for TT-S2-3600 DVB devices.
