Today, February 21, 2017, KDE announced the availability of the sixth maintenance update to the long-term supported KDE Plasma 5.8 desktop environment for Linux-based operating systems.
KDE Plasma 5.8.6 LTS comes approximately three weeks after the release of KDE Plasma 5.8.5 LTS, and it promises to add a total of 80 improvements and bug fixes to various components of the desktop environment, including Plasma Discover, KDE GTK Config, KDE Hotkeys, KScreenlocker, KSysGuard, KWin, Plasma Desktop, Plasma Networkmanager, Plasma Audio Volume Control, Plasma SDK, Plasma Workspace, and SDDM KCM.
"Today KDE releases a Bugfix update to KDE Plasma 5.8 LTS, versioned 5.8.6. Plasma 5.8 LTS was released in October with many feature refinements and new modules to complete the desktop experience. This release adds a two months' worth of new translations and fixes from KDE's contributors. The bugfixes are typically small but important," reads the read more)
