KNOPPIX 7.7.1 Distro Officially Released with Debian Goodies, Linux Kernel 4.7.9

Believe it or not, Klaus Knopper is still doing his thing with the KNOPPIX GNU/Linux distribution, which was just updated to version 7.7.1 to offer users the latest open source software and technologies.

Using newer graphics drivers or desktop software from the Debian GNU/Linux 8 "Jessie", Debian GNU/Linux 9 "Stretch" (Testing) and Debian Sid (Unstable), KNOPPIX 7.7.1 is powered by the Linux 4.7.9 kernel, which is fully patched against the "Dirty COW" bug and injected with some extra patches, including TCP Stealth, BFQ, Cloop, and AUFS. Both 64- and 32-bit kernel versions are included in KNOPPIX 7.7.1.

"In addition to the 32bit standard kernel, the 64bit version of the same kernel is installed on the DVD edition, supporting systems with more than 4GB of RAM and chroot to 64-bit installations for system rescue tasks.
