Softpedia was informed by the OpenMandriva team about the release and general availability of the OpenMandriva Lx 3.01 GNU/Linux operating system for personal computers.OpenMandriva Lx 3.01 is the first maintenance update to the Lx 3 stable series, bringing us all the latest and greatest KDE technologies and Open Source software projects. The biggest change being the rebased of the operating system on the recently released Linux 4.9 kernel, which was injected with BFQ as default CPU scheduler.
"Here comes the Christmas gift from the OpenMandriva Community! We warmly thank our developers, artists, testers and bug reporters, all our support teams as well as all people at large who are working so hard to make this technically advanced and beautifully artworked distribution," reads the announcement.
