Google officially launched the stable version of Android 11 last month. At present, the latest Android update has only landed on the Pixel lineup. However, other smartphone manufacturers are working hard to get Android 11 updates for their devices.
Samsung yesterday rolled out Android 11-based OneUI 3.0 public beta to Galaxy S20 series users in South Korea. Now, the public beta of OneUI 3.0 has officially landed in the US.
As of now, only T-Mobile users with Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra can flash the latest OneUI 3.0 based on Android 11. However, the update will eventually be available to all the Galaxy S20 series owners in the US. OneUI 3.0 beta update for the Galaxy S20 Ultra holds the firmware version G988USQU1ZTJ3 and is close to 3GB in size.
The latest version of OneUI comes with several design changes such as a redesigned Quick Settings/notification panel, a new volume panel, recent apps changes, and more. OneUI 3.0 encompasses most of the Android 11 features such as the chat Bubbles, the new Conversation section in notifications, Media controls, and a few more.
The update also comes with unique features (not present in Android 11) such as a new “minimal battery use” mode, “enhanced processing mode” to boost performance, additional features in OneUI’s digital well-being, and a lot more.
