Today, November 8, 2016, GNU/Linux developer Arne Exton announced the release of a new version of his commercial AndEX Android-x86-based operating system for personal computers.
Based on the latest Android-x86 official release built on top of Google's Android 7.0 Nougat mobile operating system and shipping with the GAPPS (Google Apps) package pre-installed, AndEX Build 161107 is powered by kernel 4.4.27-exton-android-x86_64, which corresponds to the upstream Linux 4.4.27 LTS kernel.
It also comes with up-to-date applications, including Google Play Store 7.1.16.1, Google Earth 8.0.4.2346, File Manager 1.01, Clash of Clans 8.551.24, Google Now Launcher 1.4, and Spotify 6.30.882. Many other Google apps are included in the GAPPS packages, such as Gmail, YouTube, and Google Play Services.
